Virtual IOP and PHP treatment in Massachusetts
Rockland Recovery Behavioral Health offers virtual mental health treatment across Massachusetts, so you can get expert care from home. Our online programs deliver the same evidence-based treatment as our in-person centers, on the same schedule, led by licensed clinicians over secure video.
We offer virtual care at three levels:
- Virtual partial hospitalization program (PHP): our most structured level of care, with 6 hours of treatment a day, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM. Most people stay 4 to 6 weeks.
- Virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP): group and individual therapy 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM, typically for 6 to 8 weeks.
- Virtual outpatient therapy: ongoing individual and group sessions online as you build on your progress.
As you improve, care steps down with you, from PHP to IOP to outpatient therapy. Psychiatric support and medication management are part of your treatment plan. Our clinicians treat anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, bipolar disorder, and other conditions using approaches like CBT and DBT.
Sessions are private and HIPAA-compliant, and all you need is a phone, tablet, or computer. Call 855.520.0531 for a confidential same-day callback and we will verify your benefits before your first session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a virtual IOP or PHP covered by insurance?
Yes. We work with most major private insurers and verify your telehealth benefits before you start, at no cost and with no obligation. Call 855.520.0531 or use the form. Please note that we do not accept Medicaid.
How many hours a week are the virtual programs?
Virtual IOP runs 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday, about 15 hours a week for 6 to 8 weeks. Virtual PHP runs 6 hours a day, about 30 hours a week, typically for 4 to 6 weeks.
Is virtual treatment as effective as in person?
For many people, yes. You meet the same licensed clinicians, follow the same evidence-based treatment plan, and attend the same structured groups on the same schedule as our in-person programs. Your care team will tell you honestly if they believe you need a higher level of in-person support.
Who can join the virtual program?
We serve adults across Massachusetts. After a brief assessment we will confirm that virtual care is a good fit and recommend the right level of support.
What do I need for telehealth sessions?
